Frequently asked questions

  • What is going on here?
This is a hobby site that is used to learn new technologies and potentially make some money on the side by placing lay bets on horse racing win markets.
  • How does it work?
The system looks at historic horse races and tries to identify similar upcoming races where it think it can identify horses that won't win. The bets can only identified between 4 minutes and the start of the race.
  • How can I use it?
The tips will be published to the IGamble.Cash twitter feed. You can monitor the twitter feed and place the bets manually. Automation using BQ Bot Manager will be made available soon.
  • How much money could I make?
All selections are published in near real time to the results page. Various tabs are available on the results page and show both the actuals and various summaries of the results.
  • How is profit and loss calculated?
Results are shown using a 1 point stake. (Fixed stake with variable liability)
The system only issues lay bets (priced roughly between 9 and 13). If you use £1 per point then assuming a selection doesn't win the race then you'll make £1 gross profit, and £.98 nett profit after commission. If the selection does win the race then you'll lose (price-1)* your stake. So if the price is 10-1 on the exchange then you'll lose 9 points or £9 using £1 per point.
  • This sounds too good to be true why don't you keep it to yourself?
The system has winning and losing months. Eventually by offering some paid subscriptions then they can offset the losses for the months and help to cover the cost of running the servers.
